Composition of the translation price

Often it is considered that translation services are too expensive, but only one side of the coin is considered. Even a highly experienced translator must constantly improve his qualification, because over time, not only do the language norms, but also the used words change, new terms appear and old terms  lose their popularity.

Thirty years ago such words as "file", "home theater system" or "management" were not known, and specific terminology is changing even faster.

Those who had studied native language at schools will understand that spelling is not really an easy thing. Some find it difficult only to rewrite a sentence in their mother tongue.

And its even harder to perform large-scale high-quality translations that are highly accurate. If you ever tried to learn a foreign language, you will probably know that, even if you try really hard, over several years you will not achieve much, and in order to become a good translator one must have very good knowledge of both the source and target languages.

Clearly, the cost of translation includes not only difficult and frustrating work of translators, but also various taxes. A citizen of theLithuanianRepublicwho honestly executes his activity must pay taxes that, of course, raise the cost of services.

When hiring translators, clients often forget that they, like any other service-providing honest people must pay taxes — when dealing with translation service providers all they see is a person performing the translation and receiving financial benefits.

Of course, even very accurate translations require creativity, whereas the translator of technical and legal translations often must have legal or technical education. The clients of the translation agency BRAVIJA are satisfied with the translation service quality and price ratio, there are pleased to receive the performed work on time! Translation agencies employ only highly qualified and appropriately experienced translators who are professional and are responsible when performing their work.

How to calculate the number of character in a document?

The most convenient way to calculate the number of words in the document is using a text editing program. This can easily be done by any person who has minimal computer skills. We shall consider the most popular Word program, and the actions in other programs of this kind are be very similar.

If a document is presented in Word format (.doc, .docx), open the document, select the required text using the mouse cursor or, if you want to know the total number of words in the text, just select "Tools -> Word Count" in the tool bar on the top of the window. A table will appear and there you will see the number of words, characters with and without spaces. Also the number of paragraphs and lines shall be indicated.

If the document is presented in another electronic format (i.e. web page extract) using the mouse cursor select the required text and  click the right mouse button on the selected text. A menu will appear, select "Copy". Open the word editor (Word), paste the copied text by clicking the right mouse button and selecting "Paste" from the pop-up list, the previously copied text will appear in the new document. The following steps are similar to the above indicated actions.

If you have a paper version of the document,, open your word processor and type five lines from your text. In accordance with the above-mentioned way count how many words are in the lines you typed. You can easily estimate a preliminary number of characters in the document by assessing the overall number of lines in the document.

You can find out the price of the translation if you appeal to the translation agency BRAVIJA and notify it about the scope of material presented.
